Return & Refund Policy

At Local Neighbours Cotswolds, we strive to provide a smooth shopping experience. As we work with independent fulfillment partners and suppliers worldwide, all return requests are subject to the terms below.

1. Return Eligibility

If you wish to return an item, you must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return, the item must:

  • Be unused, unworn and unwashed.
  • Be in its original condition.
  • Include all original packaging, labels and accessories.
  • Be free from damage caused after delivery.

The following items are not eligible for return unless they are faulty or not as described:

  • Used or worn items.
  • Items damaged after delivery.
  • Items returned without original packaging where this affects resale.
  • Personalized or custom-made products.
  • Perishable goods, hygiene products or other items that cannot be returned for health or safety reasons where applicable.
  • Clearance or promotional items where stated at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.

2. How to Request a Return

Before returning any item, you must contact us for authorization.

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue or reason for the return.
  • Clear photographs of the item and its packaging where applicable.

Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused and returned to the sender.

If your return is approved, we will provide the appropriate return instructions and return address, which may differ from the original shipping address.

3. Return Shipping

Unless the item is faulty, incorrect or not as described, customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs.
  • Any customs duties or import charges incurred during the return.
  • Using a tracked shipping service.

We are not responsible for:

  • Returns lost in transit.
  • Delays caused by shipping carriers or customs.
  • Returns received without valid tracking information.

4. Inspection & Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
  • Please allow up to 14 business days for processing after the inspection has been completed.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable except where required by law.

If the returned item shows signs of use, damage, missing components or otherwise does not meet the return requirements, we reserve the right to reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value or refuse the return where permitted by applicable law.

Where appropriate and with your agreement, we may offer store credit or an exchange instead of a monetary refund.

5. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item and packaging.

We will review the issue and provide an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, repair or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

6. Order Cancellations

Orders are processed quickly.

Once an order has entered processing or has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

If cancellation is requested before processing begins, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed.

7. Delivery Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer.
  • Failed delivery attempts due to customer error.
  • Packages marked as successfully delivered by the carrier but reported as lost or stolen thereafter.

Customers should contact the shipping carrier directly where appropriate.
